'The Young And The Restless' News: Eric Braeden Praises 'Y&R' Cast For Their Hard Work“The Young and the Restless” soap opera icon, Eric Braeden [Victor Newman] spoke up recently on social media to let his followers know that the crew on the show are some of the hardest working people he knows.

Eric Braeden stated that the crew were the unsung heroes of the business, working long hours well past the actors. He said they often work until 2 a.m. and report back to work five hours later, at 7 a.m. He said they have a huge job of taking sets down and resetting the sets for the next day.

Braeden explained that the soap opera world was so much different than prime-time television. On average, “Y&R” shoots 80 pages of a script per day, and in sweep’s times up to 120 pages. He noted that prime-time television shot an average of 8-10 pages of a script per day.

This was not the first-time Eric Braeden has taken to social media to praise the cast and crew. He often tells his fan and followers how hard the writers, cast, production, and crew work every single day. He noted that the show would not be the show it is without the crew working the long hours they do, and thanked them for their commitment.

A few days ago, Alyvia Alyn Lind posted a picture to social media. It was of her with a crew member, and she captioned the picture- the real hero on the set. It is refreshing to see the actors praising the hard work of the crew members, and realizing they could not produce the show without them.
