'General Hospital' News: Rebecca Herbst Wants Greg Vaughn To Return To 'GH' As Lucky Spencer“General Hospital” Rebecca Herbst (Liz Webber) thinks it would be great if Greg Vaughn returned to “GH” as Lucky Spencer. Now that Greg has confirmed he is leaving his role as Eric Brady on “Days of Our Lives” will Vaughn bring Lucky back to Port Charles?

Rebecca dished in the most recent edition of ABC Soaps In Depth that she would be happy to see Lucky come back to town. The role’s originator Jonathan Jackson is too busy to come back to “General Hospital.” Jackson stars as Avery Barkley on the ABC primetime drama “Nashville.” Now that everyone knows Jake Doe is really Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) is this the time to bring Lucky back to Port Charles?

Are TPTB considering bringing Greg Vaughn back as Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) wayward son? Herbst says, “Greg made Lucky his own for many, many years. I don’t think that would be a bad move. Lucky is tied to so many people in Port Charles.”

Of course, casting decisions aren’t up to “GH” fans or the actors. “What you and I think doesn’t matter, all the time,” Rebecca dished. But Lucky is definitely needed back in town. Lulu (Emme Rylan) is going through a horribly painful time dealing with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Valerie’s (Brytni Sarpy) betrayal. Laura is wrapped up in the secret Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) is keeping about Jason – and trying to figure out what Hayden (Rebecca Budig) wants.

If Jason chooses Sam (Kelly Monaco) when Patrick (Jason Thompson) leaves town where does that leave Liz? Maybe in the arms of Lucky Spencer? Liz Webber’s portrayer doesn’t seem as if she would mind! What do you think? Should TPTB consider bringing Greg Vaughn back as Lucky?

      I’ve said all along that Liz and Lucky are soulmates. Greg Vaughn would be a welcomed Lucky in my estimation. Lucky always grounded Liz and I would say little sister Lulu needs a big brother’s shoulder to cry on since other big brother, Nik, has trouble of his own that maybe Lucky could help with.
