'General Hospital' News: Drew Chetwood Leaving The Role Of GH's Milo In November - "Wants To Raise Family Elsewhere"“General Hospital” is about to lose another cast member. Drew Chetwood decided to pack his family and move to the Midwest. Drew had portrayed Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) bodyguard since 2006. He will be last seen on the show in November.

Drew explained that for him and his wife, it was a game changer when they decided to have a family. He said it was a hard choice to leave a successful show like “General Hospital” and move thousands of miles away from the place they called home for the last few years. He stated that he wanted to raise his children with all the core values he had growing up; he felt in order to do that, he had to move his children away from the busy, big city life in California. He hopes that in time, he’ll find another acting role that he can either do from in the region he moves or he plans to travel to and from the set.

When he told Frank Valentini that he was leaving the city, Frank was on board with the idea of Milo appearing in Port Charles from time to time. He told Soaps in Depth, “General Hospital” didn’t want Milo to leave the show and never return. He told Frank that if he needed him to appear on an episode or two, to contact him. He would fly out and help out in any way he could. Frank was onboard with the idea and told him that it was very likely that would happen in the future.

How do you feel about Drew Cheetwood departure from “General Hospital”? Soap Opera Spy wishes him the best in all that he does now and in the future.
