Northrop has a credit as The Waiter at Il Giardino, the open air lunchtime hotspot for the sudser’s hungry crowd. Might we see part two of the infamous Tiramisu Fight between Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Sally (Courtney Hope) during Northrop’s guest turn? Will the newbie have to break up the battling beauties?

Or will he be there to lend a hand as an anonymous minion for some grand function at the fancy eatery? We have no deets on who Northrop will interact with, or if he will even have a line or three, but it will be fun seeing the offspring of soap royalty following in their footsteps.

Longtime soap fans will remember Hank’s father from his days playing Roman Brady on “Days of Our Lives.” The actor appeared on DOOL from 1981–84 and again from 1991–94.

Hank’s mother began her work in daytime in 1986, playing “General Hospital’s” mousy librarian Lucy Coe. Herring quickly became a fan favorite and starred on the beloved soap for six years before leaving to explore other opportunities.

She almost took a turn on “Days of Our Lives,” playing Lisanne Gardner, but prior to filming both Herring and the producers agreed to take a pass on the character. Herring then returned to the show and the role that made her famous, delighting her, “General Hospital,” fans.

She stayed until 1997, when she and Lucy Coe took their talents to the GH spin-off soap, “Port Charles.” Herring appeared on the sudser until its 2003 cancellation. In 2009 she joined the cast of the now defunct soap, “As the World Turns,” and has been back on GH since 2012.
