The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease both Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) are currently facing challenges in their marriages, their lives reaching a significant crossroads.
However, with a new plot set to emerge during the May sweeps, everything is poised to shift for them and their spouses; and unfortunately, not in a positive way.
Victor And Jack’s Lives Are About To Change Forever
Victor and Jack’s lives are about to change forever-their marriages to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) are on the verge of a spectacular collapse.
This will be even worse than the current situation; at the moment, Diane and Jack are not on speaking terms.
This is because Diane caught Jack in bed with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) after Victor had hired her to kidnap Jack, keep him on the yacht, and have relations with him while he was drugged.
Diane cannot find it in her heart to forgive Jack, claiming her heart simply won’t allow it. Consequently, Diane is filled with anger.
Diane Still Blames Jack, Even Though It Was Victor And Patty’s Fault
Despite it being entirely Victor and Patty’s fault, Diane still holds some blame for Jack.
Additionally, many Young and Restless fans are upset that Josh Griffith is writing a storyline involving rape.
This is essentially what Jack’s story entails, and it reflects victim-blaming and shaming that many fans believe wouldn’t occur if the victim were a woman.
Meanwhile, Victor and Nikki are also estranged due to the situation Victor created with Jack and Patty. Nikki is still completely shocked that Victor did this to Jack.
Nikki Believes Victor Can Sink No Lower
Right now, Nikki believes it’s the worst thing Victor has ever done-but honestly, he has done worse things to Jack in the past.
The worst part is that he didn’t even provoke this situation; Victor is still angry that Jack rescued Nikki from a drinking problem over a year ago.
The ones who truly harmed Victor and Newman Enterprises were Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), not Jack.
Therefore, Nikki is thoroughly disgusted with Victor and is uncertain if she can ever forgive him. Meanwhile, Victor is acting as if Nikki is to blame.
Victor’s Accusations Of Betrayal
Victor has accused her of betraying him and siding with Jack-it probably wouldn’t matter who it was-what Victor did was terrible. However, the fact that he did it to Jack, who is one of Nikki’s closest friends, makes it even worse.
At this point, it really seems like both Jack and Victor’s marriages are in trouble. Patty wants Jack badly and neither Diane nor Nikki will want that to happen.
Even if Diane is still angry with Jack and blames him, she won’t want Patty to keep attacking him, so, Patty could stay in town as a constant threat.
Neither Jack Nor Victor Would Willingly Choose Patty!
It’s doubtful Jack would ever willingly choose to be with her, and neither would Victor. Even if he was really angry with Nikki, it seems unlikely that Patty would end up with either Jack or Victor because she’s just completely out of her mind, and they both realize it.
However, it’s believable she will continue to stalk Jack while she’s nearby. Patty’s presence could pose a problem for Victor since at any moment, Patty could reveal that Victor hired her to kidnap Jack.
You know, gave her a bag full of cash, and that was after getting her sprung from the mental health facility she was in for years!
Patty Is A Huge Danger
Currently, Patty is a danger to both Jack and Victor-no one would be surprised if Patty sneaks into the Abbott mansion and into Jack’s bed, maybe even drugs him again to get what she desires.
Patty is unstable, she’s stuck in the past-she mentioned that miscarriage from years ago that she blames on Diane.
Aside from Patty, who is ready to potentially disrupt Jack and Victor’s lives, we have Nikki and Jack spending time together, and they were complaining about their failed marriages.
Diane already believes Nikki wants Jack for herself because of Sconegate. You know, Diane walked into the house in broad daylight, with people present.
Jack And Nikki Were Having Scones, Not Even Sitting Together
Jack and Nikki were having scones, not even sitting close to each other; this was the big compromising situation that spoilers claimed Diane caught them in.
However, she was upset as if they had been eating pastries while naked, and then she left angrily. That’s when Jack suggested to Nikki that they should take the nuclear option-this could turn out very badly for them.
So, we might see Jack and Nikki act like they’re dating and having a rebound romance because Victor and Diane turned them down. Alternatively, Jack and Nikki could get into bed and pretend to be intimate, ensuring that Diane or Victor walks in on them.
Nikki Is Merely Being A Good Friend To Jack-For Now, Anyway
After Diane reacted strongly to Jack and Nikki sharing scones, Nikki told Jack that Diane was acting that way because she still loves him. Seeing Nikki and Jack out on what appears to be a date might serve as a reality check for Diane, but perhaps not in the way they intend.
It’s a long shot to believe that it would work on Victor at all. Manipulating him is very difficult, and predicting his reactions is nearly impossible; it’s doubtful their little plan will unfold as Jack and Nikki hope.
Diane and Victor might respond in a way that makes everything more unstable-they could choose to teach Nikki and Jack a lesson instead of discussing things like reasonable adults.
