Y&R Spoilers: The Writers Just Made This Huge Mistake With Nikki

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that when it comes to Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas), it seems like she’s not really getting a break on the show these days.

That’s because it seems like the treatment she’s getting – or lack thereof – might be even worse than her health crisis right now.

The Writers Just Made This Huge Mistake With Nikki

In fact, many eagle-eyed fans of the soap noticed this one particular mistake that was made during one of the most recent episodes of the soap: Nikki’s doctor did not have any gloves put on while he was taking off her eyepatches.

For many longtime viewers of the soap, this detail is definitely disturbing. Even though this is daytime television, many have pointed out that the doctor should have at least washed his hands before touching Nikki, just to make things look more realistic. But, that didn’t happen.

Clearly, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.

Some Y&R fans even commented with, “I go to ophthalmology every 3-4 months for a condition and they recently just moved spots in the hospital and one of the nurses was bitching out the administrator there about how they hadn’t fixed the lighting before they moved and how it was way too bright in the hallways for the patients.”

Another critic wrote, “ Even us normies need the lights dimmed while we’re there because of all the dilator drops and shit they administer on us. I can’t imagine the people there for surgical follow-up.”

And then there was this comment as well: “As someone who was severely ill for years and spent time in many hospitals and many doctors offices, no one ever touched me without gloves. I’ve never even heard of such a thing.”

The Doctor Handling Nikki Made A Huge Mistake

Here’s hoping that the next time Nikki visits her doctor, he’s actually going to put some gloves on before touching her face, right? Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
