With the character’s portrayer leaving the show to film a movie, fans should expect Stephanie to depart from the canvas sometime in October.
This is unfortunate, since her romance with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is heating up. Could Nate’s mom be the one to step in and nix her son’s relationship with her friend?
Doctors Bond
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Nate and Stephanie have gone from friends to medical colleagues and now a romance.
Things slowly went from friendly to steamy, and it looks like the two may end up hitting the sheets very soon.
The two doctors have bonded over Nate’s transition back to the medical world from his stint in corporate America, and things look promising. Stephanie has been a wealth of knowledge and has offered her unwavering support.
With that said, there’s a bit of an age difference between the two; however, love never looks at a number. Still, there are two people who may get rubbed the wrong way regarding this potential relationship.
First is Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), who is about the same age as Nate. Then there’s Nate’s mom, Dr. Olivia Winters (Tonya Williams), who happens to be close friends with Stephanie.

Now, Olivia doesn’t live in Genoa City anymore, but she still has ties to the little town. It’s hard to believe that anyone would call the woman up to tell her that Nate is involved with Stephanie, unless it’s done so innocently – or secretly!
Then, there’s the chance that Holden reaches out to his mom’s friend to let the cat out of the bag!
Could Stephanie slip out of town for a “work reason”, at Olivia’s request to place some space between her and Nate?
Nate is Olivia’s only son, and while Stephanie is a lovely woman, Olivia may want to see Nate with someone his own age so he can someday get married and have children!
Sure, he’s in his forties, but having a baby is still plausible, with the right woman. Could Olivia have a chat with Stephanie once she finds out about her romance with Nate? Stephanie is also a mom of a son Nate’s age, so Stephanie may recognize Olivia’s concerns.
Stephanie won’t be gone forever, just some months so that Fox can shoot her film. She may exit in an attempt to ‘forget’ Nate, but return realizing she simply can’t.
