Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is to blame and she’s currently on the loose. Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) went to Tahiti to recover, but Jack was bit by a centipede and upon their return they learned that their tormentor is back in GC.
Patty is Back
With Patty in town, the Abbotts want to make sure she is captured and put back behind bars. She is a menace to their family and her obsession with Jack is unconscionable.
Jack and Patty talked on the phone and Jack tried to lure her out so that she could be taken into custody. Interestingly enough, Patty told Jack she’s leaving the country and will never be a bother again.
Jack’s Secret Plan
Jack is determined to lure her out however and he and Diane made their way to Society where they planned to make a scene and cause a commotion that would attract Patty’s attention.
At Society Jack collapses onto a sofa, and some fans are wondering if this is the end of the character.
He appears to be faking a heart attack, but with all the stress he’s under it’s realistic to think he could be in actual distress.
Is Peter Bergman Leaving?
Jack being written off the show would be a huge disappointment for tons of loyal Y&R fans. And they would not be the only ones!
In the past Peter Bergman told Soaps.com: “It’s almost impossible for me to imagine not coming to this set and getting to work with these people, these friends, every day.”
“If I were to leave at this point, it would not be my choice. Looking back on my time at All My Children, it was not my decision to walk away from that part. I was every bit as shocked as viewers, perhaps more so.”
Is Jack Being Killed Off?
He went on to say “It would be a similar scenario here. But we always say that in daytime, anything can happen.”
That’s true enough, but we shudder to think what GC would be like without the firm but fair Abbott patriarch.
The show has new head writers, Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor, and we are hoping that they begin to write (see what we did) the wrongs of the past. Tell us, would you be devastated if Jack were to be killed off?
