The Young And The Restless Spoilers reveal that Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) storyline is changing and it could be in a dramatic way. Matt has always been waiting for a chance to take another strike at the Newmans.
However, Matt’s amnesia is adding a new layer to his current storyline. Can Matt be redeemed after everything he has done?
Matt Clark Learns The Horrifying Truth
It seems that Matt is about to learn the horrifying truth about his actions over the years and will be truly remorseful for what he has done.
Matt is very confused by his run in with Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) but he has gotten a small glimpse into his life as the evil villain he has been for decades.
Matt also go a flashback of a confrontation with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and is beginning to realize just how bad of a guy he used to be.
However, Matt cannot remember most of what he has done in the past. Matt is getting bits and pieces of his memory back and is getting a huge dose of reality.
Matt Clark Has Forgotten Everything
Matt has no idea just how heinous his crimes have been over the years and he may be truly horrified to learn just how far he has gone.
Matt simply does not understand everyone’s outrage toward him, and it may be a very scary thing when he does learn the truth. For now we are seeing a completely different side of Matt.
This new version of Matt is actually a likable guy who seems very remorseful for everything he has done to not only the Newman family, but everyone else he has done wrong as well.
Matt has certainly begun to charm Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Is This Matt Clark’s Redemption Tour?
Howarth is a very good actor and fan love having him around. However, this back and forth with his evil rants and attempts to take out the Newmans is getting very old, very fast.
Howarth said in a recent interview with SOD, “This raises some pretty large questions about whether forgiveness is really something that is possible.
And how can someone forgive themselves? What is it like for somebody who is a horrible person to be confronted with their own horrible self?”
Both Howarth and Morrow have suggested that Matt isn’t going to turn into his old self any time soon. It sounds like Matt is ready to ask for forgiveness and attempt to move on from the past.
Can Matt be redeemed after everything he has done? Will Matt eventually revert back to his old ways?
