Y&R Spoilers: Can Abby And Mariah Get Past Dom’s Kidnapping?

The Young And The Restless spoilers reveal that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) may have ruined any chance of salvaging her friendship with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).

Abby is thrilled to have her son back in her arms, however, that does not mean she is willing to forgive Mariah for the ordeal she put Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) through. Can their friendship survive?

A Kidnapper By Any Other Name

Abby may be glad that Dom’s kidnapper was a friendly kidnapper, and someone they knew.

However, that does not make it any different than any other kidnapper when it comes to the trauma caused by the ordeal. Dominic loves Mariah but she scared him and that is just not okay no matter who she is.

Mariah has a mental issue and that issued caused her to kidnap Dominic and even tell him she was taking him to another country. Dom finally got to the point where he was tired and missed his family.

Dominic demanded to go home. Dominic told Abby once they were reunited that his papa came to him in a dream and told him how much he loved him. Dom knew that his dad was watching over him.

Melissa Ordway Points Out The Obvious

Ordway questions in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, “How do you get past that?” Mariah is the one who gave Abby her son and she trusted her with his life.

Suddenly, Mariah has stolen the baby and taken off with him with plans to never return. Abby wants Mariah to pay for what she has put them all through.

Devon may be able to see just how unlike herself Mariah is. Devon realizes that Mariah is not herself and needs some serious help.

Devon and Abby may disagree on where that help should come from because Abby wants her son to feel safe and that may not happen unless Mariah is locked up. What will happen to Mariah in the end?

Abby Winters And Mariah Copeland Haven’t Always Been Close

Abby and Mariah were once bitter enemies, however, Mariah eventually became Abby’s surrogate, giving birth to Dom for Abby and her ex-husband Chance Chancellor (ex-Connor Floyd).

Devon is Dom’s biological father as he was a surrogate for Chance. Ordway wonders if the rivalry will be brought back now that the kidnapping has happened.

Whatever the case, it seems that the kidnapping may be over but that is just that beginning for Abby and Mariah’s latest issues.

Abby wants to do whatever she must to protect her son after realizing that Mariah never intended to bring him back home. How far will the writers take this issue? Will the rivalry resurface as Abby fights to protect her son?
