After nothing important emerged for a long time in the true crime case of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, some new information arrived on Friday. New photos emerged that allegedly place her inside the home of singer David Burke, known as D4vd.
The Update
Jesse Weber appeared on News Nation, and chatted with Steve Fischer, a private investigator who works for the landlord of the Las Vegas property that D4vd rented. He revealed what might possibly be important evidence.
According to Weber, the investigation doesn’t come with many updates, especially since a grand jury convened. Recapping a bit, he explained that the “Files are still sealed and then there’s these new photos taken allegedly two days before Celeste was last seen, so December 31st, 2024.”
Not Much To See In The Photos?
The images appear to show David and his friends inside the rental home. Unfortunately, Celeste Rivas Hernandez wasn’t completely visible in the pictures. However, there’s an interesting aspect to them.

In one photo, an iPhone believed to be hers sat on a table next to a Hello Kitty mug. In another image, what looks like a girl’s fingers held a bottle. Weber also pointed out that in one of the images, “the phone believed to be Celeste’s appears to be connected to the home’s Wi-Fi.”
One Important Detail
Well, that seems particularly important, so Fischer explained why. It seems a bit obvious, but he explained that when phones connect to Wi-Fi, “the Wi-Fi router captures each time and it will give…the time and date that you were there, when you disconnected and stuff like that.”
So basically, those router logs could prove who was inside that house, and when.

Fischer also mentioned why the photos were only shown now, in mid-February. That’s because it seems those folks in the grand jury or being questioned by authorities might be withholding information. “It was kept hidden as usual,” he said, adding that he hopes this urges people “to start to be honest [and] let law enforcement know exactly what happened.”
Next, Weber asked where the photos came from. Apparently a camera was left behind in the home when D4vd vacated the place. And apparently, there’s way more where that came from. Fischer confirmed there are “over 1100 photos” that haven’t been shared yet.
No News, No Statements
Meanwhile Weber raised the bigger picture in the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case. In fact, he seemed a bit perplexed. After all, five months passed and still, nobody’s been arrested or charged apart from a witness, Neo Langston, who refused to testify to the grand jury.
Additionally, no statements arrived from the family, the DA’s office, or the FBI. Well, Fischer also seemed puzzled, but opined that perhaps there were fundamental problems with the case. However, he also feels that something behind the scenes seems to be happening.
The Family Of D4vd
Allegedly, prosecutors want D4vd’s family to testify. So, Jesse wondered why. After all, he argued, they’d probably just plead the fifth anyway.
Well, in the opinion of Fischer, it could be a pressure campaign. He added, “They’re putting pressure on his family and getting them involved.” Then he added, “Maybe they’re hoping that might make him crack a little bit under that.”
