Y&R Spoilers: Are Matt & Phyllis True Love Match – Perfect Messy Couple Of The Future?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may find love when she least expects it.

Amnesiac Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) came crashing into Phyllis’ life and definitely has her attention, so could a true love match be brewing?

Phyllis has been trying to sell Matt out to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but that’s not surprising.

We all know Phyllis always looks out for number one – and that’s probably never going to change no matter who she’s paired with!

That said, Phyllis has bonded with Matt in his current memory-challenged state. In the May 15 episode, Phyllis acknowledged that she wasn’t seeing the same dangerous man that everyone’s been ranting about.

Phyllis obviously feels a little sorry for Matt, so it’s easy to see why Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) are concerned about her compassion for someone with such a monstrous history.

However, Phyllis may be the only woman who can learn to love someone like Matt! Y&R spoilers say Matt’s going to show deep regret as his past comes to light, which could open the door to redemption and a real romance.

Matt is hoping he has somebody out there who cares about him when his memories come back. The truth is Phyllis might be the one person who really does care on some level – and she’s already right there in front of Matt.

It’s true that Phyllis has been trying to betray Matt with a Newman deal, but that’s nothing compared to the horrible things Matt’s done.

Phyllis’ betrayal is certainly something Matt could forgive her for since he’s apparently going to head down a redemptive path.

Phyllis hasn’t had a proper love interest in a long time, so this is Y&R’s big chance to lean into her growing feelings for Matt and the messiness of it all.

Likewise, Matt could prove he’s capable of having a loving relationship with Phyllis, even if it’s complicated.

There’s no denying that Matt and Phyllis have fantastic chemistry that’s worth pursuing.

Michelle Stafford and Roger Howarth really have some special magic in their scenes together, so maybe Phyllis and Matt will indeed become a true love match despite all the obstacles.
