Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently on the path to reconciling with the Royal Family. Or so they say.
However, even though they’ve stopped with the royal bashing, they seem to still have the knack for finding new ways to do stuff that would likely raise the hair on one, or two, royal family member’s back.
Last year, it was announced that Meghan will be executive producing a project that will explore the life and legacy of the late Princess Diana.
At the time, sources pointed out that William was not comfortable with the move to hand over his mother’s story to someone of Meghan’s standing. Well, I think she has just gone and topped that.
Royal Expert Implies Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Not “Decent” People
Prior to Meghan Markle bringing the kids to the UK, it was speculated that a visit to Diana’s gravesite will be part of the itinerary. And just like clockwork, Harry, Meghan and the kids did indeed pay a visit to Althorp House.
The thing that’s causing the drama is that Meghan thought it right to include it in their summer vacation carousel, which she shared on Instagram.
Many saw the move as Meghan’s relentless drive to court drama. And drama she got, in boatloads.
But you know who won’t be trying to boost their relevancy on the back of a late royal? Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan says it’s the “decent” Prince and Princess of Wales.
“William and Catherine are decent, serious people who understand that some things are sacred,” Maureen wrote, adding, “Diana was buried on that island, at her family’s private residence, precisely to keep her gravesite from becoming a circus, a tourist attraction, a commodity.”
While I personally don’t relate to the fuss around the concept of sharing images that convey the idea of visiting the grave of a beloved family member, I’m also not personally related to her. However, sources claim that the move has left William numb with shock.
