Florida police reported back that a true crime case involving murder, started in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday this week. Later, it spread to a linked case in Sarasota. Well, the suspected killer is dead, and the details seem extraordinary. Read on to find out more.
Two Different Locations
Law enforcement cracked a case that included two violent crime scenes on opposite coasts. Well, it turned out that both scenes were allegedly carried out by one man named Russell Kot. Per WTSP, the terrible deaths tallied up to seven people in Florida.

After killing two people in Fort Lauderdale, Kot actually drove to Sarasota to complete his rampage. Initially, Fort Lauderdale police responded to a welfare check at a home in Victoria Park. There, they discovered Larisa Blyudaya and Ben Azivov were dead.
Camera Surveillance
Later, the connection to Sarasota arrived when camera surveillance revealed that Kot, not done yet, traveled a long way to kill more people. Apparently, the motive for the crimes might have involved a domestic incident with one of the victims.
Meanwhile, in Sarasota, the County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call about shots fired in the Amberlea neighborhood. Unfortunately, when deputies responded to the call, they discovered a man outside a home dying in the front yard.
Carnage In The Home
Moving inside the home, the officers discovered four more bodies. Oh, and one more, who was identified as Russell Kot, who’d unalived himself after killing everyone else. The true crime murder victims in Sarasota included Olga Greinert, Florita Stolyar, Anatoly Ioffe, and Yaroslav Blyudoy.
Looking at the timeline, it seemed that Kot carefully planned the execution-style murders. He targeted people that he knew in two separate locations and set off to presumably deliver what he felt was justice.
Actually, it seems incredible to think that Russell Kot wiped out a whole bunch of people in a single day. What makes it worse, is that as he was known to the victims, he possibly entered the premises without causing much alarm.
No Other Suspects
Obviously, the frightening crimes shocked neighbors and those who live in both cities. According to sources who spoke with the outlet, the area in Sarasota seemed safe and quiet before the tragic murders.
Folks concerned about crime in the area can relax now, as the police confirmed that the perpetrator of the shocking two crimes is dead. So, they don’t seek any other people associated with the deaths.
The Connections
When CBS Miami shared the update on YouTube, the anchor explained that “all six victims are connected to each other in some way, but it is unclear exactly how.”
