According to sources, the Royal Family is on high alert over the news that the Sussexes are considering a UK return this 2026.
The Wales team in particular, is said to have hired a crisis chief for this very reason. Though if you do ask a Kensington Palace spokesperson, they’ll tell you it’s all hogwash.
Prince William Won’t Be Rolling Out Any Red Carpet For Brother Prince Harry
This week saw Prince Harry return to the UK to take part in the court proceedings on a case he and several public figures brought against the publishers of Daily Mail.
However, a second visit is reportedly in the works: one that will see Meghan accompany Harry back to the UK for the first time in four years.
With this in mind, a royal expert has disclosed that William would undoubtedly try to find a way to counteract the negative press that might arise from this visit.
The Daily Mail’s Diary Editor, Richard Eden, believes William wouldn’t take Harry’s return lying down, especially since there’s bound to be “trouble ahead.”
Eden noted that the news of the Sussexes’ return “serve to put pressure on the King and the rest of the Royal Family to roll out the red carpet for the Sussexes, even though the California-based couple have never apologized for their disgraceful attacks.”
With a background in crisis management, Liza Ravenscroft was recently hired by the Prince and Princess of Wales, per a report by the Mail on Sunday.
Ravenscroft is said to have been recommended for the role by Julian Payne, who previously served as communications secretary to Charles and Queen Camilla and the current CEO of Edelman.
A source said: “It is unlikely to be a coincidence that one of his most senior and respected members of staff has taken a key role in William’s office after a period of turmoil – and when they are looking for closer alignment between Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace as minds turn to William’s eventual succession.”
However, if history is to guide us in this aspect, Prince William is ever likely to carry on as is even if Harry were to bring all of Montecito, California with him.
