Prince Harry Suggests He Was “Born” for Royal Duty – What Does It Mean?

In Australia, Prince Harry took the stage at a mental health function and revealed that he hated being born a Royal.

The idea of being a working Royal was something he said his mind had intrinsically rejected, so much so that over the years, the resentment was piling up into unresolved trauma.

However, the story seemed to significantly change in Ukraine, where he very heartily accepted his role as a Royal who is just trying to do his best for the world, as Royal often does.

Prince Harry Challenges Reporter Who Labels Him “Not A Working Royal”

Apart from following in his mother Princess Diana’s footsteps and participating in a demining operation, Prince Harry also talked about the war in Ukraine and touched on his royal roots.

It’s been six years since Harry decided to step back from his role as a working royal, and abscond to America on what was famously termed a “freedom flight.”

At the time, he termed being a part of the Royal Family a “trap,” in which his father and brother are sadly trapped in. Later on, he described growing up as a member of the Royal Family as a cross between the zoo and the Truman show.

He, however, didn’t share these same sentiments in his latest trip to Ukraine, and especially not on April 24. Remember, the label he so-readily rejected isn’t that he’s no longer a Royal, but that he’s “not a working royal.”

In a chat with ITV, the reporter likened his recent visits to Jordan and Australia as actions stripped from the royal playbook. He was then asked whether he agreed with the “not a working royal” label, Harry swiftly rejected it.

“No. I will always be part of the royal family,” Harry responded, adding, “I am here working doing the things that I was born to do.”

He continued: “And, you know, I enjoy doing it. I enjoy coming to do these trips and supporting that … the friends that I’ve made, and hopefully, bringing attention to issues that, for one reason or another, drop out of the news because something else has popped up.”

This, of course, brought some criticisms to rain down on his head, as royalists ridiculed him for clinging so tightly to the very thing he not only rejected, but trashed through the years.
