Prince Harry’s Visa Drama Reignites As Court Nears Crucial Ruling

Prince Harry’s Visa case is back in the headlines, a few months after talks of it seemed to have completely died down online.

The Washington DC court case was filed by a conservative think-tank, Heritage Foundation, over Harry’s claims that he used drugs and recreational substances in his “wholly truthful” memoir.

Heritage Foundation petitioned the US Department of Homeland Security to disclose Harry’s immigration documents since it’s become a subject of public interest.

In other words, did the 41-year-old British Prince disclose his drug habits in his immigration records?

What We Know So Far About the Ongoing Struggle To Make Prince Harry’s Immigration Records Public

There’s been a lot of back and forth in Heritage Foundation’s ongoing mission to expose Prince Harry’s immigration documents.

The court previously acquired specific information from federal agencies regarding how the Duke filed his application papers.

US District Judge Carl Nichols then reviewed Harry’s private immigration records to ascertain whether there’s any object of public interest in it that trumps the ‘Spare’ auhor’s right to privacy.

Following the review, the documents – heavily redacted – were released in 2025. However, the core of the application form is still under privacy protections and therefore remains confidential.

In 2024, Judge Nichols made it clear that Harry, despite his status, retains the same expectations of confidentiality as any other individual.

He said: “The public does not have a strong interest in disclosure of the Duke’s immigration records. Like any foreign national, the Duke has a legitimate privacy interest in his immigration status”

However, the Heritage Foundation also pushed back, claiming that they were blocked every step of the way by Biden’s administration.

The Think-Tank’s legal team claimed in 2024, “The Biden administration has gone to great lengths to protect Prince Harry, and in doing so, has undermined the public’s trust in the fair enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws.”

The Think-Tank’s lawsuit was filed to specifically determine whether the Prince was given special treatment, or if he rightfully disclosed all his past usage of controlled substances in his application, as the law dictates.

Trump, who previously hinted at deportation for the retired royal, later told The New York Post last year that he now plans to “leave him alone.”

“I’ll leave him alone. I don’t want to do that. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible,” he shared at the time.

Per GB News, the court is expected to share a new development on the case soon.
