Prince Harry arrived home in the United Kingdom on Monday July 6, 2026. Sadly, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet weren’t permitted to attend their dad’s homecoming due to safety concerns and a “lack of security.” Meghan Markle stayed home too, obviously.
For some reason it’s too dangerous for Meghan to hang out in London, but the former Prince keeps surviving his trips there.
Prince Harry Comes Home
Royal followers and the media have been counting down the days until Prince Harry’s arrival in the UK.
Harry just finished a family trip in France with Meghan Markle and their kids, and jetted across the pond to visit the Royal Family.
However Meghan took the kids straight back to the United States when they left France, and refused to participate in this leg of the family vacay.
Harry and Meghan announced months ago that they would be visiting Harry’s motherland, and they were bringing the kids with them to see their grandfather King Charles.
However on July 4 (just two days before their arrival), The Markles made an unexpected announcement and revealed Archie and Lillibet wouldn’t be coming after all. The family cited the lack of security in the UK, and felt that Meghan and the kids wouldn’t be safe.
The Markles Keep Battling For Security
In 2020 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ran away from the Royal Family, they also gave up their lifetime security detail.
It’s been an ongoing issue for years, and Meghan Markle is adamant that the Royals give them back their free security guards before they visit the Palace again.
A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex told People Magazine, “The issue is whether appropriate and proportionate protective security is being provided throughout the entirety of the visit.”
Apparently, King Charles agreed to let them use Royal security while they were staying on the grounds. However, they had to hire their own security whenever they were traveling in the city or doing appearances.
