Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once had a very promising career in Hollywood, especially when they were fresh out of the Royal Family in 2020.
A lucrative Spotify contract, a multi-million dollar Netflix deal and a Penguin book deal good enough to make anyone’s eyes water.
Most of these are in the past now, and as Archewell Productions struggle to get a handle on their already announced scripted movies, the Sussex couple has essentially hit rock bottom, or so Tom Bower says.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “Struggling To Survive” Amid Recent Failures
Anyone can tell that it doesn’t look good for a company when their only partner deserts them a year into the partnership. And yet, this was what Netflix’s partnership with Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever came down to.
Alongside this very telling news comes the revelation that thousands of unsold stock are just sitting in warehouses, collecting dust and patiently waiting to expire. In other words, Meghan’s world of jam and flower sprinkles is not looking all that bright.
Appearing on Kinsey Scofield Unfiltered podcast, Tom Bower laid bare the current state of Harry and Meghan’s businesses.
“They’re now on a sharp downward spiral, and that’s what is so fascinating to all of us: how will it end? What is going to be the explosion at the bottom? How is it going to occur?” Bower told royal commentator Schofield.
Well, nobody knows how it’s going to happen or how hard the impact is going to be. What we know for sure is that their relationship with Netflix has all but crumbled, and the last we heard from Spotify was when the company’s head of talk strategy, Bill Simmons, called them “f—— grifters.”
“We just can’t predict it because these two who grip our attention because of all the circumstances which made them and all that they’ve created in their damning interviews are struggling to survive, and the battle is being fought, and how it ends, we don’t know,” Bower, who wrote the recent biographical work, ‘Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family,’ continued.
“The real problem for Megan and Harry is that they’ve got nothing to offer other than their victimhood and the story they’ve now told,” the author.
However, let’s not underestimate the power of a well-planned ‘Spare 2.0.’
