Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t driven to return to the UK for any one reason.

Yes, there’s the family reconciliation and the kids being close enough to visit grandpa on a more regular basis, but there’s also a number of other things they took into account.

For Meghan Markle, it may be the start of her official return to the acting world if she could snag a role in Netflix’s ‘The Gentlemen.’

For Prince Harry, he’s here to get some content for the documentary he’s working on ahead of the 30th anniversary of the death of his mother Princess Diana.

Prince Harry Reportedly Reaching Out To People Who Knew His Mother For This Reason

Last year, we learned that Harry and Meghan are working on a film for Netflix, which will document the life and legacy of the late Princess Diana, ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death coming up in 2027.

This time around, we’re hearing from Daily Mail’s Senior Editor-at-Large, Richard Kay, that Harry has returned for mainly this reason.

“One of the reasons Harry [returned to the United Kingdom] is to make a television film, his own film, about his mother,” he said, adding that the Duke “has been reaching out to his friends and others who knew” his mom, who tragically passed away at the age of 36, and “asking them to contribute.”

Kay went on to note, “Let’s not forget who Harry spent time with when he was here in July, it was Diana’s family at Althorp.”

Indeed, the visit was controversial for a number of reasons, but most especially due to Meghan chosing to share pictures of the family at Althorp House.

The move was said to be in poor taste, since the Sussexes’ UK visit that July was preceded with speculations they mean to visit Princess Diana’s gravesite.

Anyway, seems like Harry is taking his role of shining a light on his mother’s legacy seriously. Nevertheless, one has to wonder if he isn’t taking things a bit too far with this child of Diana thing. After all, Diana had two sons.

Richard Kay Weighs In On Prince Harry Monopolizing Diana’s Memory

According to Kay, Harry is going to be occupied in the coming months with gathering materials for his Diana film. If he succeeds in completing the project and it becomes a success, it could essentially lead to “people always link[ing] Harry to Diana.”

“She was the mother of two boys,” Kay emphasized. “William is just as much his mother’s son as Harry is, and Harry has tried to claim the Diana legacy for himself.”
