The 23-year-old foster son of Ree Drummond, Jamar Goff, was arrested on September 15, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama.

After being called to the area by a concerned citizen, the police discovered the youngster shirtless and sleeping on a campus bench.

When officers approached him, he allegedly explained that he was only on campus grounds because he was waiting to buy “ice,” which the police noted was another way to say methamphetamine, from someone.

Initially, the police let him go, but upon learning he had a warrant out for his arrest, approached him again. He then allegedly struck out at an officer with his palm, and attempted to run away.

When the officers went through Goff’s backpack, they discovered a glass pipe. The court documents also state that 1.8 grams of methamphetamine was found on his person.

Court documents further reveal that Goff had previously checked into a drug and alcohol treatment center in February 2026 for detox and treatment.

In 2018, Ree Drummond and family officially welcomed Goff into their family as a foster son, after spending years knowing and growing close to him.

“Fostering a kid was never something Ladd and I pursued or felt called to do, but Jamar’s circumstances presented themselves to us in a way we couldn’t ignore,” the 57-year-old Food Network star wrote in her book, ‘Frontier Follies.’ “Long story short, all six foot five inches of him showed up at our house one afternoon, bag in hand, ready to move in.”

Goff was introduced to the family through Drummond’s sons Bryce and Todd, who he played football with. He would grow even closer to the family after getting into an accident on one of their all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

In addition to Goff, Drummond shares four biological children, Alex, 29, Paige, 27, Bryce, 24, and Todd, 22, with husband Ladd.
