Ohio Police in Columbus are asking the public to come forward with information about a true crime after a couple were found dead inside their home on Tuesday. Read on for more details.

The Incident

ABC News covered the news on Thursday, and the details seemed grim. Apparently, at this time, it’s not considered a double-suicide. Unfortunately, there were children inside the home. The report explained that the man, Spencer Tepe, a dentist, didn’t report for work at a dental facility. So, someone called in a wellness check.

The wellness check didn’t come to anything, as nobody answered the door. More calls followed as one person went to see why she could hear kids crying. And, another call that arrived spoke about being able to see a body. Spencer Tepe had multiple gunshot wounds. Meanwhile, his wife, Monique Tepe, was shot once. Neither of them were savable, and they were declared deceased at the scene.

The reporter from the outlet noted that there “were no signs of forced entry.” And yet, no firearm was found in the home. While that wasn’t taken any further in the report, that could mean that the Ohio police suspect that someone possibly knew Spencer Tepe and his wife Monique.

Police Need Help

Obviously, there might be forensic evidence available but that takes time. So now, the Ohio Police ask for anyone with any information to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at (614) 645-4730 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at (614) 461-TIPS (8477).

From social media and other sources, it was established that the victims of the true crime were shortly due to celebrate a wedding anniversary. At this time, it’s not known where the children were taken to.

Viewers React

There’s a “manhunt” going on right now, and certainly, it seems the crime’s being treated as a homicide. In the comments section, some folks speculated that perhaps they overshared on social media.

One person opined, “People, please don’t post anything about your private life on social media, especially if you’re successful and happy. There are jealous, mentally sick people who are unhappy when you have it all.”

Here are a few other responses from the discussion:

  • Jeez…absolutely horrible. I feel so sorry for the kids. But thankfully they’re unharmed.
  • What’s happening since past few weeks, American husbands are murdering their wives too many cases in such short time. Not a good Start for USA.
  • I see a Ring camera at their door. Why don’t they just check the Ring cam video?
  • Humans are the most evil animal on this planet. Rip.
