Nurse Jackie Actress Edie Falco Lands New Show On FOX

Nurse Jackie fans have been waiting impatiently for a Nurse Jackie spinoff that doesn’t seem to ever be happening.

However, you will be able to see Edie Falco on your television screens as soon as next year.  The popular Nurse Jackie actress is set to make a big return in 2027, keep reading for all of the details.

Nurse Jackie Star Back In Action

Nurse Jackie aired on Showtime for a total of seven seasons, spanning from its premiere in 2009 until the finale in 2015.

Edie Falco won several awards and nominations for her portrayal of a troubled emergency room nurse with a pill addiction.  Despite the fact that Jackie was always ruining lives left and right, it was hard not to root for her on the show.

Prior to appearing on Showtime as Nurse Jackie, Falco was known for her other iconic television role as the wife of mobster Tony Soprano on The Sopranos.  She appeared from 1999 – 2007 as Carmela Soprano on the HBO series.

Edie Falco’s New TV Show

According to multiple reports, Edie Falco just a leading role on a new TV show called “Katie Greaves.”  Ironically, Edie’s character on the show will also be called Katie Greaves.

Per TV Line, “Falco’s Katie is described as a whip-smart, fiercely committed attorney who stepped away from the New Hampshire Public Defender’s office following a devastating personal tragedy.  When the show picks up, she and her husband are raising their two young granddaughters, trying to piece together a life she never expected.”

Edie Falco’s new legal drama will be airing on primetime on FOX, predictions for a premiere date hint Katie Greaves could debut as early as next year.  As soon as an official date is confirmed, we will be sure to pass it along.
