NCIS Alum Joins The Young And The Restless Cast

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that viewers will spot a familiar face in Genoa City in upcoming weeks.

TV legend Jere Burns has reportedly joined the CBS soap’s cast in a new role.  Burns is no stranger to the small screen and has appeared on dozens of TV shows over the years.  Keep reading for all the details!

Jere Burns Joins Young & Restless

Jere Burns is a pretty big fish for the daytime soap opera.  After news of Burns joining The Young and the Restless cast broke, fans were quick to discuss the new addition on social media.

Most Y&R viewers recognize him from his previous roles, including NCIS: Los Angeles and Justified.

Jere Burns began his acting career back in 1970, when he was in his early 20’s and a college student.  Over the years he has made numerous appearances on some pretty big shows.

Some of those titles include Justified, Breaking Bad, NCIS Los Angeles, Good Morning Miami, Will & Grace, Burn Notice, and Hawaii Five-0.

Paging Dr. Laurence Markham On Y&R

According to Young and the Restless comings and goings, Jere Burn will debut as Dr. Laurence Markham on June 15 and will appear in multiple episodes this summer.

Dr Markham will be involved in a big storyline with Susan Walters’ character Diane Jenkins.

We haven’t seen Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) ex in a month, and it’s unclear what she’s been doing since they split

.  Dr. Laurence Markham might just be a love interest for Diane Jenkins, or there could be something else far more serious going on like issues with her health.

We will have to wait until next week to find out the deets when Jere Burns debuts.
