Nancy Guthrie: New Ring Footage Reveals The Face Of A Suspect?

Did AI marry up two men? New Ring cam footage brings alleged but totally speculative similarities to the masked Tucson suspect.

Nancy Guthrie True Crime Speculation

Come on, all of you armchair sleuths! Fess up. Which of you haven’t played around with photos to see if you can spot the man behind the mask at Nancy Guthrie’s home? Well, now it seems that one AI thinks another AI potentially found a match. Of course, it’s pure speculation, but who wants to bet how many folks did that?

New Doorbell Footage Emerges

As the investigation into 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie’s abduction from her Tucson home continues, new doorbell camera footage surfaced. Interestingly, some folks think the video shows a man who might look similar to the guy released in a video by the investigators.

Actually, everyone feels terrible about Savannah Guthrie’s mom, but weariness with a lack of progress make folks talk about other things.

Well, we asked AI to strip the mask off the face of the man on Nancy’s Nest camera and try to reconstruct a visual likeness. You can see the comparable image below:

Of course, it could be almost anyone, and not even a person who really exists. But wait!

The New Guy On Camera

On January 23, 2026, just about a week before the abduction of Nancy Guthrie, a man was captured on a Ring camera. Apparently, the camera captured a guy lurking on a porch about “six miles south” of the Guthrie residence.

According to Melvin Cedeno, who shared the footage on Instagram, the man appeared “at 3:30 a.m.,” lingered, and then “returned at 5:00 a.m.” In his post, he also noted that the  suspicious behavior, was first flagged on “the Neighbors App.” Additionally, it also also gained traction on YouTube.

The Comparison: AI vs.Reality

While this is all pure conjecture, the visual parallels are hard to ignore, per Gemini. Notably though, we thought they didn’t look alike at all.

However, that AI noted that the removal of the mask by an amateur shows a strong jawline and deep-set eyes.Additionally, the man in the new doorbell footage “shares these exact features, including a distinct, heavy brow line.”

Other similarities between the two photos apparently suggest that both men groom their facial hair in a similar way with a goatee. Notably, in the opinion of the AI, “the shape, density, and placement of the facial hair in the Ring footage are almost identical to the AI-generated predictions.” Oh, and it liked the ear shape.

Right… well, it’s possible, but as everyone knows, AI makes mistakes. So it could all be a bucket of nonsense.

Similar Actions?

Here’s a better photo of the man from the neighborhood, and in it you can see that he appeared to try and cover the camera with his hand. Meanwhile, the Nancy Guthrie suspect did the same thing with some plants.

Whether the similarities actually exist or not, it still shows that amateur true crime folks can produce some sort of reconstruction on personal laptops. So, it’s not unlikely that the FBI try the same thing.

Is it A Match To Both Or Either Pic?

Actually, it seems that investigators haven’t linked the man in the new footage from January 23 to the man seen at Nancy’s home. In fact, it’s not known why he was there or if he even had criminal intent.

Plus, it should be noted that no investigators ever shared a possible AI rendition of anyone. So for now, it seems that whoever the new guy is, he’s simply a ghost for armchair sleuths. Still, it seems like an interesting aside as the investigation seems stalled.

What are your thoughts? Do you think the new camera footage seems similar to the Nancy Guthrie doorbell pics? Do you see even a vague similarity to the AI-generated photo?
