GH Spoilers: Is Dante About To Battle His Uncle For Elizabeth’s Heart?

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Dante About To Battle His Uncle For Elizabeth's Heart?General Hospital spoilers claim Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) surprised us all on Wednesday when he stopped by the hospital to chat with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

These two aren’t exactly the best of friends. Sure, they’re not enemies, but they’ve never been terribly close either, despite once being in-laws when Dante was married to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Elizabeth was married to Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson). That was years ago for both of them.

So the fan base was largely shocked when Dante seemed to linger a bit too long, and uttered evidence of attraction to Elizabeth that we haven’t seen before.

Where on Earth is this headed, and who’s going to break the news to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst)?

Dante’s Double Take

I’ll admit that it felt like Dante was just looking for any excuse he could muster up to talk to Elizabeth, but I’m still not sure where that came from.

We’re supposed to believe he was just sitting at his desk across town and started to think of Elizabeth in a completely different light than he had ever seen her?

Or perhaps that new take didn’t settle in until he was struggling to find the words to confide in her about his personal torment over Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting and how Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) could be implicated.

Either way, the surprise was welcomed by most it seems, but it doesn’t look like it makes much sense how we got here.

GH Spoilers Gush Like Uncle, Like Nephew

Remember Valentine’s Day when Elizabeth agreed to go to dinner with Ric, despite the fact that he had been largely MIA from her life ever since that fiasco in Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) basement?

It wasn’t the fact that he stayed out of touch so long that really burned the bridge, but the fact that he ghosted her in the first place and appeared to just skip town without a word. Elizabeth likes stability, reliability, and a guy who’s home every night.

Either way, Uncle Ric has his sights set on rekindling something with Elizabeth, and it looks like Dante has some ideas of his own in that department.

Is a Plot Twist in Order?

Ric has been minding his manners and slowly reintegrating himself into his brother Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) life for months. He even took on the job of representing Michael in his custody battle against Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).

He has become a confidante of sorts for Sonny, and in record time; we’ve never seen Sonny open up to someone so fast who he wasn’t sleeping with!

But if Dante manages to steal away Elizabeth, Ric’s tone toward the family could shift, and I could see him weaponizing what he knows about Sonny and Michael and using it to get Dante to steer clear of Elizabeth. That would be more like the old Ric we know!
