Meghan Markle’s Met Gala Snub Raises Eyebrows – Source Calls It Deliberate

We are literally counting down days to the 2026 Met Gala, and so-called Sussex insiders are still complaining over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle receiving no invitation to what is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s biggest nights.

When the Met Gala invites went round, the former actress was said to have been stunned over being passed over, especially since she painstakingly broached Anna Wintour at a Balenciaga event last year, and tried to cultivate a better relationship with the long-time Vogue editor.

Meghan Markle Holding Out Hope For “Last-minute” Tickets

Prior to Meghan and Wintour crossing paths last year, rumors have suggested that the relationship between the Duchess and the former Vogue editor was lukewarm at best.

However, last year, the two met at a big fashion event in France and rumors suggested that things have gotten slightly better between the duo.

“Meghan says she and Anna had such a lovely moment in Paris last year, and Anna gave the impression that all the bad blood was water under the bridge. Anna even complimented her outfit and talked about how they needed to get together for drinks. It was totally positive, so in Meghan’s view, it just doesn’t make sense that she and Harry would be left off the list,” a source said, going on to observe,“It’s getting harder to deny that this isn’t a deliberate snub.”

Another insider claimed that despite not receiving their very own Met Gala golden tickets, Meghan still believes her chances of attending are not exactly zero.

“Meghan’s holding out for a last-minute change,” the insider said of the gala. “But the longer it goes on, the harder it is to ignore that yet again she and Harry have not been included in the cool crowd. It’s humiliating.”

Another source shared: “People are just kind of over her. She sucks the air out of every room and makes it about herself. Anna does not want that.”

According to recent reports, there’s been a series of disturbing drama plaguing the upcoming event, which is being bankrolled by billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.

In addition to rumors about seats not getting sold out and designers pulling out, a major A-lister is said to have consciously backed out.

Per an insider, “It stopped feeling aspirational and started feeling like a billionaire circus.”

Last year, the event demanded $75,000 per seat and $350,000 per table, but, with the struggle to sell out, prices are being slashed.

This could, of course, work well in Meghan’s favor and earn her the coveted ticket.
