Guess who else was in Australia when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched their four-day visit? The iconic Pamela Anderson that’s who.
On Thursday April 16 and Friday April 17, Anderson took the stage for 80 minutes of engaged and intimate conversation that covered her storied life, mostly dealing with how one can find their “true north.”
In contrast to Markle’s ‘Her Best Life’ girls retreat, Anderson’s grand venue was packed with fans. However, it is important to note that while there’s speculations Markle’s 300-seat event was far from sold out, tickets for the event are a bit pricier than Anderson’s. The VIP ticket, for one, went for over $3000.
What Fans Have To Say About Meghan Markle’s ‘Her Best Life’
Even though Meghan Markle stayed two hours at the event, before rushing to join husband Prince Harry and pal Markus Anderson at a rugby game, she did hit a number of points on how she wants to go on living her best life.
One of the most viral quotes from her speech sees her saying that she’s wants to invest in herself more, after spending years investing in women’s issues.
On the other hand, Anderson’s Wanderlust event was more favorably received. Hosted in collaboration with Vogue, Loco Love, The Beauty Chef and more, the event saw the actress and bestselling author talk on “exploring reinvention, resilience and the beauty of second acts.”
On Thursday, April 16, Pamela Anderson was hosted at the Darling Harbour Theatre Sydney, and on the 17th, she returned for another 80 minutes “Live in Conversation” at the Plenary Theatre Melbourne. A significant portion of the proceeds will be going to the Mirabel foundation.
Attendees also went home with a special gift from the Wanderlust team. Unlike Markle’s event where cameras were strictly prohibited, Anderson’s was more laid-back, with a relaxed atmosphere. Attendees also spoke beautifully of the ‘Naked Gun’ star.
Comparing Anderson’s well-received two-day event to Markle’s, one fan blasted, “Couldn’t even get 300 women to buy an audience with madam Grifter. Pamela Anderson had no such problems.”
Another added: “Someone really shouldn’t of picked the same week that Pamela Anderson was in Australia to do their event. Makes it look really cheap. Here’s a video from wanderlust who in collaboration with Vogue Australia hosted Pamela’s first event in Sydney. 2000 people showed up.”
