Following the cancellation of her cooking show just after two seasons, the Duchess of Sussex has completely focused on growing her lifestyle brand on Instagram.
Cue edible flower sprinkles, candles, matches, and most recently, a charcuterie board.
Meghan Markle’s Charcuterie Board Blasted As Awful
Meghan Markle knows how to get her fans reacting, and in her latest post, she did just that.
Unveiling her latest creation, the Duchess advised fans to “gather around the table” with “favorites” from her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
While her face was never shown in the video, her wrist and jewelries happened to be on full display as she carefully arranged her board.
This charcuterie board, if we can call it that, was made up of raspberries, cheese, cubes of cheddar, walnuts, halved grapes a jar of As Ever jam and other ingredients.
However, what it didn’t have was the meat and crackers that we’ve grown used to seeing on the average charcuterie board.
Captioning the video that sees her arranging the board, the former actress wrote, “A board made for summer hosting. Gather around the table with pantry favorites from AsEver.com.”
Reacting on the August 14 post on Reddit, a fan wondered, “Where are you supposed to put the jam? Are there crackers or bread?”
“That’s not even charcuterie. It’s all fruit, cheese, and nuts… no meat. It looks awful,” a second Redditor noted, with a third chiming in, “Not a single thing on that board goes with runny fruit spread.”
Another commenter clearly slammed the Duchess’s hosting skills, writing, “Looks like you use the butter knives to smear the spread on the walnut halves and halved grapes. Idiotic nonsense.”
However, more observant fans quickly realized that she had Princess Diana’s gold Cartier Tank Française watch on her wrist and concluded that “The jewelry is the purpose of the video.”
This is coming after critics slammed Meghan Markle for growing just a tad disinterested with the lifestyle brand, after Netflix completely severed ties with it.
