Kate Gosselin’s Son Collin Announces Damning New Book

Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Collin Gosselin grew up on his family’s reality TV shows, along with his seven siblings.

Over the years, Kate Gosselin’s treatment of her children began to come under scrutiny and she and Jon had a long and messy divorce in 2009.

In the midst of all of the Gosselin Family drama, Collin Gosselin began making headlines for his troubling behavior and seemingly vanished from Kate’s brood.

Now, fans can read all about what really happened to poor Collin when his tell-all book comes out this fall.

Kate Gosselin’s Estranged Son Is Telling All

Kate Gosselin’s sixtuplets are all grown up now and turned 22 years old this year.  It’s no secret that Collin Gosselin has been estranged from his mother since before he turned 18 years old.

His troubled childhood played out in the tabloids when he was mother claimed he was diagnosed with several behavioral and psychological disorders.

Kate Gosselin actually had Collin institutionalized in a mental hospital and claimed he had violent tendencies.  In 2025 Kate’s estranged son took to social media and began accusing the reality TV star of physical and mental abuse.

Collin went on to say that his mother lied about his diagnosis, and even shared some of his private medical records on the internet.

Now Collin is taking it a step further and writing a tell-all book about growing up with Kate Gosselin, and everything she put him through over the years.

The book is appropriately titled “In The Shadow Of Eight: Surviving The Reality Of My Childhood” and has been given an October 14 releases date.  The cover features a haunting photo of Kate with her hand over young Collin’s mouth.  Kate should definitely be shaking in her boots!

Collin dished to US Weekly about his new tell-all, “Now, finally, I’m sharing what was really happening behind the scenes,” he teases. “This book is about truth, survival, resilience and finding my voice after years of being silenced. If my story helps even one person feel less alone or gives them the courage to tell their own, then every difficult page was worth writing.”
