Savannah Chrisley Secret Marriage To Jason Galanis Freaks Out Reality TV Fans

Fans of the reality TV show Chrisley Knows Best heard just a few days ago that Savannah Chrisley is pregnant and that she’s engaged to Jason Galanis. Well, it turns out that she married some time back but kept it secret, and plenty of people have ideas about that. Read on for more details.

How They Met

When the news about the pregnancy arrived on the Unlocked podcast, folks were a bit shocked because Jason Galanis was in prison with Todd Chrisley, although Savannah and Jason only met after Todd was pardoned by President Trump.

That news occupied folks on social media for two days, but on Saturday, the bombshell news that they had already tied the knot arrived via People magazine. According to the outlet, they discovered that Savannah Chrisley and Galanis tied the knot back on July 14.

Savannah’s Wedding

The outlet said that they discovered via marriage records that Savannah had secretly gotten hitched in the Cayman Islands. In her original podcast about expecting a baby, there were no hints that she and the convicted prisoner were married.

The news that she was pregnant and engaged to a man sentenced to 189 months in prison in September 2020 for multiple securities fraud schemes got a lot of backlash online.

The Connection Seems Shocking

Chrisley Knows Best fans haven’t forgotten that Todd and Julie Chrisley went to prison for tax and fraud-related offenses. And to top it off, Galanis turned out to be the former business partner of Hunter Biden.

Celebrating the Soaps reported that Trump had commuted Galanis’s sentence and pardoned Todd and Julie in May last year. Most people can accept that babies happen, but the person she married really freaked out a lot of reality TV fans.

Reactions On Social Media

On Reddit, where the article by People was shared, many people responded to the subheader that declared, “Pregnant Savannah Chrisley married Jason Galanis in a secret church wedding ceremony in the Cayman Islands after a year of dating.”

In the comments, one of them wrote, “She’s clearly blinded by love, but also seems lowkey embarrassed by him hence all the secrecy. But babies don’t wait so it’s all public now. I give it 4-7 years max.”

Here are a few more responses to the marriage news:

  • “…He is a convicted felon AND he was labeled a porn king. … the other thing that bothers me is the way she describes he proposed…but not really. He just gave her a ring and say this means whatever you want it to mean? Thats not really normal.”
  • “My goodness, she’s such a drama queen.”
  • “I think she just wanted to fuel the speculation and publicity and be able to stretch this out over more than one podcast.”

Clapping Back At Backlash

Others mentioned the post she did in Instagram Stories, where the Chrisley Knows Best alum had complained about the backlash.

Savannah Chrisley had written in part, “This world can be so incredibly cruel. People can be quick to judge, quick to condemn, and slow to show grace.”

But she seems to see her pregnancy and relationship as something “God has already ordained.” She added, “You don’t have to fight every battle, answer every accusation, or convince the world of what God already knows to be true.”
