Josh Duggar Appeal Bombshell: Anna Duggar’s Surprising Involvement Revealed

We might have to start saying “no wife more loyal than Anna Duggar” soon enough. And why not? How many wives could have their husbands doing over a decade in jail for possessing child pornography some of which a policeman said was among the worst they’d ever seen?  and still be at his beck and call?

And not just that, Anna is actively working to get her husband out of jail and reunited with their seven kids as fast as possible.

Anyway, you might have also read she called Josh’s crime “victimless,” so at this point, it shouldn’t really surprise anymore.

How Anna Duggar Assisted Josh Duggar With His Appeal

It’s been revealed that Anna helped her husband put together his motion to appeal his sentence, before it was ultimately rejected by the judge.

Per court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 2, Josh, 38, exchanged drafts of his motion with Anna, 37, before its submittal due date.

After writing out the information, or typing it out, he would send it to Anna, who would then transcribe the physical copies on the computer. After typing the document out, she would forward it to Josh for signing.

In addition to obtaining several copies of the document, she also pre-filled the date on the Certificate of Service as June 24, 2025.

Despite her hard work, the appeal motion was denied by the judge, whose decision rested on the fact that Josh filed the motion late.

In turn, Josh argued that he should be able to receive the same treatment as those stated by the prison mailbox rule, which gives inmates leniency on deadlines as long as the documents are “deposited in the institution’s internal mailing system on or before the last day for filing.”

He then went on to describe the sequence of events that led to his letter arriving a month late. Regardless of his strongly-worded argument, the judge dismissed his claims as “something akin to a magic bullet.”

At present, Josh has been moved to a medical facility in Fort Worth, Texas, to receive treatment for an undisclosed condition.
