Honey Boo Boo Under Fire After Asking Fans For A Favor – Viewers Aren’t Having It

Last year, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who fans best know for ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,’ ‘Mama June’ and its spinoff, ‘Mama June: Family Crisis,’ told us that she doesn’t know what happened to most of the money she’s made so far from the various shows she’s been on.

In fact, she claimed that she never even got one penny from her very own show, ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.’

What Alana Thompson Had To Say About Her Missing Funds

In 2025, Alana opened up about the huge financial stress she was facing as a result of her mother, June Shannon, plunging her hand into her earnings just to support her addiction lifestyle.

“I never had gotten all the money. I have never, ever received the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo money. I’ve never seen it. Never ever even heard of it, if I’m being completely honest. I don’t know what happened to it,” the star told PEOPLE at the time, going on to describe that her mother took roughly $35,000 earned from her TV appearances between 2018 and 2019.

As for the reason Alana forewent the legal route, the ‘I Was Honey Boo Boo’ star explained, “I thought about suing her at one point, but I just know that I wouldn’t probably get anything out of the end of the bargain because by law, she did what was right.”

She added, “By law, she at least put 20 percent in my account. And the other 80, she said that she used to take care of me. So the law, I feel like wouldn’t see really a problem with what she did, I guess.”

Now that she’s at uni studying to be a nurse, the TLC reality TV star is always trying to find new ways to earn money. However, fans aren’t exactly chill with her latest one.

Alana Thompson Will Follow Back Fans Who Do This

Fans are calling out Alana Thompson for telling them she would give them a follow if they gift her a Galaxy, which is worth around $15, or more during her TikTok Live.

Even though fans did not take kindly to her trying to raise money this way, this is actually not the first time the 20-year-old has actually pulled a stunt like this.

In 2024, the then-18-year-old took to TikTok Live and asked fans to donate gifts. As expected, she also received a wave of backlash at the time, with many accusing her of being a grifter.

However, the reality TV star is also not one to stand down in the face of criticisms, as she once declared in a TikTok Live that “Anybody that comes in here and says some rude ass s–t [inaudible]… and I give it to ’em.”
