If you guessed that we are talking about General Hospital star Steve Burton, who is best known for his role as Jason Morgan on the hit ABC soap, you guessed right.

That’s because there’s heavy speculation amongst fans of the soap suggesting Steve might be looking to leave the show.

In fact, a lot of people believe that he might have already “checked out” so to speak and that he’s just phoning in his scenes at this point.

But then again, this is the same Steve Burton that did take off six months from the soap, so it’s not like he hasn’t been exploring other options and a possible new life outside of the daytime television world, right?

It seems though a lot of people saw Jason’s returning scenes are so underwhelming that they are actually disappointed that it’s come to this. After all, Jason Morgan has always been considered a legacy character, right?

Not only that, but Steve is also dealing with some major drama in his life and a very difficult commute. The actor currently lives in New York with his wife, Michelle Burton.

What’s Next For Steve Burton?

Steve in a nasty custody battle with his ex-wife Sheree Burton over the couple’s 12-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.

And if that weren’t enough, there are other critics who believe that actor Steve Burton is phoning in his performance at this point. That’s because the actor has taken so many breaks from the show and has come back just to leave again that some critics out there are just over it at this point.

But at the same time, there’s a good majority of General Hospital fans that simply don’t care, too.

That’s because they’ve realized that with or without Jason Morgan around, there’s still enough drama going on in Port Charles that his presence is really not needed.
