General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, July 29 tease Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) takes the blame, while Kai Taylor’s (Jens Austin Astrup) got questions.
Plus, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) are flummoxed!
Key Takeaways:
- Brennan accepts blame for Drew’s ordeal.
- Kai questions Drew’s suspicious recovery.
- Tracy bans Drew from the Quartermaine estate.
- Willow grows bolder as Michael prepares to fight back.
- Elizabeth refuses to believe Drew’s miraculous comeback.
Jack Takes The Blame
In the WSB field office, Jack is talking to Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) and he tells her if anyone’s to blame for this, he thinks it’s him!
Even though in the end, they seem to have things handled-albeit perhaps temporarily-perhaps he could have made different decisions.
Perhaps he should have put Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) under arrest before he became unlocked and could have killed Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) and long before his black box was stolen!
There seems to be a workable agreement where no one goes down for Drew’s drugging, and he doesn’t go down for misusing campaign funds and Judge Eva Heran’s (Tessa Auberjonois) death.
Willow got her freedom and so did Drew-but peace may not last for long!
Kai’s Got Questions
After hearing from Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) that Drew could have drowned, but instead, he’s suddenly walking and talking, Kai’s got questions!
Kai is likely suspecting that those injections Drew had been getting were the source of his paralysis. He asks Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) why wouldn’t Drew go straight to the police?
The two will jump to conclusions, but they don’t want to reveal to anyone they were in Drew’s house when he was shot.
It seems obvious they are still suspicious of Willow, and that she was continuing to harm Drew, just in a more sinister and long-lasting way.
Elizabeth And Felicia Are Flummoxed!
In the meantime, at GH, Elizabeth and Felicia are flummoxed-as the news has likely spread to the hospital that Drew suddenly came out of his long-lasting locked-in syndrome!
Felicia seems happy and even laughs, but Elizabeth questions, saying, “It’s not possible!”
Elizabeth was suspicious from the start about both Brennan and Drew having strokes in Drew’s house, and both their sudden recoveries has her even more suspicious!
It seems like she’s going to keep digging for what was really going on with the two men, even though it won’t be through blood tests-nothing showed up when they did those.
It had been an untraceable paralytic!

Willow Confronts Michael At The Quartermaine Mansion
It’s obvious that Willow is at the Quartermaine mansion as she confronts Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), who doesn’t look happy!
In fact, he looks irritated and angry, as she tells him “I gotta say, Michael, I really like my chances!”
It sounds like they are talking custody issues, and his playing the long game to get sole custody of Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sienna Goerisch) just might be backfiring!
Even though Drew is recovered, nothing has been mentioned about his taking back his seat in Congress, and she still has the power of Congresswoman Cain.
However, Michael’s got a few tricks up his sleeves and she shouldn’t be surprised-he’ll pull a parental power move, when she likely tells him she’s no longer satisfied with their arrangement.
The Quartermaines Are Rattled!
In the meantime, at the Quartermaine residence, the Quartermaines are rattled by Gio Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) news.
He’s probably now bringing the family up to speed on his assist to Drew, who’d been in the lake, wheelchair and all after watching Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) swim.
Danny Morgan, (Asher Antonyzyn) Ned and Olivia Quartermaine (Wally Kurth, Lisa LoCicero) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) are seen.
Even though there was that one-time allowance of Drew being able to watch his daughter swim, now that he’s walking and talking,
Tracy’s singing a different tune! She is firm as she tells the group, “Drew-on THIS property? Not happening!”

Drew Doesn’t Take Well To Threats!
Everyone knows that Drew doesn’t take well to threats, although he’s really good at dishing them out! He responds to someone, “Is that a threat?”
Maybe it’s more of a promise-at least when Drew makes a threat it is, even if he does take his own sweet plotting time.
One thing for certain that Drew is going to want happen is to get his daughter back under his own roof.
Whether he’ll go along with letting her and Danny have more time together remains to be seen, that might be something to be worked out with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
