General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, May 5 tease Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) makes a romantic request, while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) shares a crash discovery.
And at the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) gives Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) some devastating advice!

Ethan Delivers Intel, Sonny Has Questions
Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) delivers some intel to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) but Sonny has questions-and obviously, he has some doubts!
He looks Ethan straight in the eye and tells him, “Only one problem-you!” Oddly, Ethan had passed Sonny’s earlier test, the one Ric advised, and Ethan had passed it with flying colors-
Sonny told Ric he trusted Ethan because he was Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) son.
Perhaps there’s something that Sonny feels Ethan is going about the wrong way, or perhaps he feels Ethan is too motivated by revenge.
Sonny wanted him to keep an eye on Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and he did, but also showed he is bent on revenge.
Sonny wants revenge on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) too but wants Ethan to wait as far as taking him out!
Ric’s Romantic Request
In the meantime, Ric is at General Hospital, where he approaches Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). He seems to blindside her just a bit as he asks, “Do you want to go away with me for the weekend?”
Understandably, Elizabeth may not want to go quite that fast, considering the things Ric has done in the past when they were together, and even married at one point.
Like Ethan, she may not quite buy that Ric has changed as much as he says he has, and she’ll want some proof.
She may keep Ric on romantic probation for a while, perhaps dating him casually but taking things very slow, until she’s convinced he’s changed!
Justine Blindsides Laura
It looks like they’re in the Assistant District Attorney’s office or another office in the Port Charles courthouse, as Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) blindsides Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Justine shocks Laura as she asks, “Are you asking me to bury this? Laura wheels around with a shocked look on her face, as if she knows nothing about such a request!
Is her new friend and former enemy Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) trying to help her in a rather codependent way?
Or is something else going on behind the scenes, possibly related to her grandson, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr); Justine might be suggesting it should be buried!

Curtis’ Crash Discovery
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is home from the hospital, and tells Curtis she just wishes they knew who the driver of that other car was.
Curtis tells her “I think I found him” sure in his mind that it has to be Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson)!
But how will Jordan respond to the idea, knowing Curtis and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) divorced because of Portia’s affair with him?
Might she think that Curtis is more than a little bit prejudiced by the fact and want to get revenge on Isaiah?
And what would his desire for revenge on Isaiah say about his commitment to Jordan?
Tracy’s Devastating Advice
Meanwhile, at the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn is worried and feeling guilty after hearing Curtis talk about his progress on finding who caused his and Jordan’s crash earlier.
Tracy gives her some devastating advice-after pushing her NOT to admit to being on the road that night, and even hiding her car on the property, she shocks her granddaughter.
She tells an obviously upset Brook Lynn “you turn yourself in”. Perhaps Tracy has gotten the car detailed now and if Brook Lynn turns herself in, it won’t matter-it will relieve her guilt, but give no proof that she caused the wreck.
