GH Spoilers: Sparks Fly for Britt & Ethan – Sonny’s Push for New Alliance?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will get an intriguing proposal now that he’s agreed to hire Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) on a trial basis. Ethan recently had a run-in with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and offered to “take care of” him for Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), so now he’ll make that same offer to Sonny.

Since Ethan and Sonny are in agreement about wanting Sidwell eliminated, Ethan will extend his services for the right price.

Of course, Sonny still has a blackmail problem to worry about when it comes to Sidwell, which affects Laura Collins (Genie Francis) as well. If Sidwell dies, then the Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) evidence will be released.

However, Sonny has some plans in motion and is hoping to resolve that matter soon. Sonny may admit he’s interested in Ethan’s deadly proposition in the April 27 episode, but he may insist that the hit can’t happen until he gives the green light.

In the meantime, Sonny may think Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) could be useful to Ethan when it comes to supplying intel.

Britt and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) were lovers, but they were also mutually beneficial allies in the fight against Sidwell and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Now that Ethan has come on board to help Sonny in Jason’s absence, he may want to give Britt a heads-up. Sonny will indeed track Britt down for a reason on May 1, so that could involve filling her in on Ethan’s new job.

Sonny may push for a bit of a partnership between Britt and Ethan. Perhaps Sonny will argue that Jason would want Britt to have someone else backing her up while he’s gone and suggest that person could be Ethan.

Sonny may urge Britt to share any info that could help Ethan gain the upper hand since they’re all on the same side against Sidwell and Cullum.

Of course, Britt may not trust Ethan – and Ethan may not trust Britt either. GH writers may be creating the beginning of a messy alliance that could potentially veer into romantic territory.

Ethan and Britt could at least have a chemistry test on the horizon, especially since Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) put him in the friend zone. Britt is lonely and has no way of knowing if she’ll ever see Jason again, so anything can happen!
