GH Spoilers: No Nurses’ Ball In 2026? Oh No, Say It Isn’t So!

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease fans are wondering if there will be a Nurses’ Ball in 2026 or not, since it’s not already being planned.

Over the years, it hasn’t been a super-regular event anyway but never say never-even though it doesn’t look like it now, it doesn’t mean there won’t be one.

The Nurses’ Ball Was Established In 1994 To Support AIDS Research, But Hasn’t Happened Every  Year

The Nurse’s Ball was established in 1994 to support AIDS research. Over time, this variety show benefit evolved into a cherished tradition in Port Charles.

However, the event has not been consistently held every year. It appears that General Hospital may be skipping the event this time, and it seems there will be no Nurse’s Ball in 2026.

Last year, the legendary Nurses Ball occurred on May 20th, 2025, and it was particularly significant due to the revelation of Gio Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) biological parents.

He didn’t react well to finding out they were Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), and smashed his violin!

NuMichael Corinthos Arrived At Nurses Ball 2025

The Nurses Ball 2025 also marked the debut of Rory Gibson as Chad Duell’s replacement for Michael Corinthos. It was Michael on a mission as he strode through those doors to take his children from Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

This moment not only became history but continues to influence the current storyline. Now, as we enter the first week of May, there has been no preparation for Nurse’s Ball 2026.

In fact, there hasn’t even been a mention of the AIDS research charity event for this year; it seems that General Hospital is indeed skipping the Nurse’s Ball 2026.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s event, the Nurses Ball has not been included in this year’s storyline-let’s explore the possible reasons behind this.

Why There May Not Be A Nurses’ Ball This Year

There are two glaring reasons that come to mind right away as to why there may not be a ball this year, and none of them are for lack of talent in town; there’s Gio,  Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is a great singer, and of course Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

However, last year Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) financed the whole event, lock, stock and barrel-and bought a major share of Deception Cosmetics at the same time.

Fast forward to now, Lucy Coe, (Lynn Herring) the Nurses’ Ball founder, is busy trying to help Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) take Sidwell down!

And there are even a couple of reasons that having the Nurses’ Ball this year could be considered somewhat inappropriate, not to mention some of the talent may not be available!

The ball was created in honor of Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) who contracted AIDS as a teen-and her mother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is missing-Anna needs to be found, and Valentin might do it!
