Nonetheless, there are two strong possibilities as to the identity of the scoundrel. The show is making it seem that either Simon or Quinn are obsessed with Trina.
That just makes us believe it could be neither one of them and that an ex is back with an agenda.
Here are three possibilities as to the identity of Trina’s stalker.
1) Simon the Record Executive
First of all, Simon (Grady Eldridge) has been introduced as a record exec interested in Trina’s musical career which didn’t exist until he came on the scene.
After offering their manager Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) a record deal, Simon was dismayed to learn that Trina and Gio Palmeiri (Giovanni Mazza) are a package deal.
He had no choice but to accept this but later hit the roof when he found out about her boyfriend Kai Taylor (Jens Alstrup).
Could Simon have a sinister agenda?
2) Kai’s Friend Quinn
Second, Kai’s friend Quinn (Jequan Jackson) has been reintroduced after being offscreen for a while.
The timing is fishy given that he didn’t approve of Trina being with Kai. Now all of a sudden he’s back and apologetic, coinciding with Trina being stalked.
This seems like a slam dunk, having Quinn be the one obsessed with Trina, but the obviousness of this plot point sounds like a classic soap bait and switch. What do you think?
3) Spencer Cassadine
This leads us to another soap trope—the back from the dead character who magically reappears.
In this case we’re talking about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). Spencer was the great love of Trina’s life and he supposedly died defending her. But no body was ever found and that leaves open the possibility that he is alive.
Plenty of fans would to see Spencer back and reunited with Trina. And why not, they were passionate, young, and in love, an unbeatable combination.
