GH Spoilers: Is Donnell Turner Leaving GH – Curtis’ Prison Fate Revealed?

General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal Curtis Ashford is currently incarcerated at Pentonville, serving a decade-long sentence, leaving devoted viewers of the ABC drama concerned about his potential departure from the show.

As of October 7, 2026, actor Donnell Turner has made no official announcement regarding his exit, though Curtis is actively pursuing dual arrangements in hopes of securing his release.

Curtis Lost It On Isaiah Gannon, And Now He’s Paying For It

Everything began with a single blow; Curtis struck Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), injuring the surgeon’s hand in the process, then rejected a plea bargain and decided to take his case to trial.

On August 13, 2026, a jury delivered a guilty verdict, and he received a ten-year sentence with the possibility of parole after serving two years-Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) chose to pursue an appeal.

The emotional farewell that ensued triggered the first surge of anxiety among devoted viewers.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) pledged to stand by him, and their poignant goodbye before his incarceration felt like a concluding moment. Yet it wasn’t;  Curtis entered prison, and the narrative continued to unfold within those walls.

Curtis Was Collateral Damage At Pentonville Prison

On September 25, a brutal assault at Pentonville Prison left Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) severely wounded, with Curtis suffering injuries while heroically attempting to protect him.

Following his arrival at General Hospital, Curtis spent several days recovering before making a critical accusation on September 29.

He directly blamed Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for orchestrating the vicious attack, primarily because the assailants had invoked Sonny’s name during the assault.

However, Curtis fails to realize, though viewers are fully aware-that Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are the masterminds behind this elaborate frame-up, deliberately setting Sonny up to take the fall.

Curtis’s dangerous lack of knowledge regarding this crucial detail is poised to become his undoing, setting him on a collision course with serious consequences.

So Is Donnell Turner Going, Or Is He Staying?

So, is Donnell going, or is he staying; no official announcement suggests he is on his way out of the ABC soap.

Curtis Ashford finds himself entangled in two competing escape routes-substantial narrative weight for an exiting character. On September 29, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) approached with an appeal, concealing her connection to Jordan.

By October 1, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) proposed pursuing a governor’s pardon in exchange for his help against Sonny, securing him three more days in the hospital.

What stands out: both exit paths involve women harboring secrets;  Monet conceals her family relationship, while Willow’s name surfaced on Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening) recording during Sidwell’s disclosure.

Donnell Has Not Said Anything About Leaving The ABC Soap

Behind the scenes, Donnell Turner celebrated a remarkable decade as Curtis this past November, and he expressed nothing but appreciation when discussing the character.

Earlier in the year, he described his tenure as a highlight of his professional journey. Neither he nor the production has announced any departure plans, final filming dates, or casting changes.

The creative team appears to be charting Curtis Ashford’s path toward freedom from Pentonville rather than away from Port Charles entirely.

Whether through a pardon or a successful legal appeal, Curtis would reunite with his daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and reconnect with Jordan, who has pledged her loyalty, this trajectory hardly resembles a farewell storyline to us!
