Some things just look better when they are natural, right? This time around we are talking about General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as a lot of fans have noticed this one odd detail about the character and it might not be what you are thinking about, either.

That’s because a lot of fans think it’s strange that Sonny’s son Dante has grey hair but Sonny doesn’t. In fact, many viewers think that Sonny actually looks better with salt-and-peper hair than he currently does now.

This, of course, doesn’t suggest that fans aren’t liking Sonny’s more youthful look or if that’s what actor Maurice Benard is trying to do while covering up his greys.

But at the same time, there’s no denying that he’s a handsome man that should just embrace all the signs that come with aging, right?

Of course, the internet had a lot to say about the matter and let’s just say that the opinions were varied.

Some even commented with, “MB looks great with salt and pepper hair, I don’t know why the powers that be, or he won’t embrace it. Standing with Dante it really stands out. The character is old enough to be a great grandfather but can’t have grey hair.”

Another fan of the show wrote, “When Sonny came back from Nixon Falls, he had the salt and pepper hair. It looked so good on him! Only for some episodes though, and then it was back to the dye.”

And then there was this comment as well: “At some point, it doesn’t make him look youthful. It just doesn’t look good. They should let him have his natural hair color.”

What’s Really Going On With Maurice’s Hair?

“He also needs to grow out the sides a little bit. The closely shaved sides emphasize the black landing strip down the center and make it look like it’s a toupee.”

So far Maurice Benard himself has not made any comments about his hair just yet.
