GH Spoilers: Detective Chase Reinstated, But How Long Until Brook Lynn Cover-Up Explodes?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has a golden opportunity headed his way, so it’s one he definitely won’t want to pass up.

It looks like Chase will be given the chance to become a detective again, but his decision to cover for scheming Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) could lead to disaster.

Now that Cassius Faison is no longer pretending to be Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), the PCPD is down a detective.

Plus, with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) back at work, she’ll be looking to make some big changes at the police station.

Summer preview spoilers point to things shifting in the police department, so Chase will benefit from the adjustments ahead.

Chase’s devotion to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) led to all kinds of career issues, but he may soon be able to put those issues behind him.

On July 23, Anna will extend an offer that Chase will no doubt be unable to refuse. It sounds like Anna may give Chase an opportunity to test for detective again and undo the humiliating demotion he’s endured.

Although Chase tried to see the bright side of the situation and appreciate his easier schedule for Phoebe’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) sake, he surely won’t turn down Anna’s proposal.

It turns out Chase will be put to the test with Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) help in the July 24 episode, so that may indeed involve the detective test and Chase’s eventual reinstatement.

Chase may finally get his career moving back in the right direction, but there’s a big problem since he’s now covering up Brook Lynn’s crime.

Brook Lynn framed Willow for leaving the scene of Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) accident, so Chase’s attempt to bury that could blow up sooner or later.

Of course, GH fans know Brook Lynn is keeping yet another secret since she’s the one who actually drove away from the crash site that night.

This is a huge mess that could backfire on Chase, so his career, marriage and family could all be at risk.
