General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) recently hinted at the possibility of someone else taking over the project due to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) still being missing.

The episode on June 2 sparked a discussion regarding the future of the project with Britt absent.

Sidwell Was Frustrated

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) expressed frustration over Britt avoiding Cullum’s efforts to locate her, especially since he has vast resources at his disposal.

Nevertheless, Cullum reminded him that they are dealing with Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) daughter, which means Britt has unique skills and abilities that they may not fully understand.

Sidwell contended that the project cannot progress without Britt’s expertise and emphasized that her contributions are irreplaceable.

While Cullum acknowledged this point, he also believed it was time to consider the possibility of finding a replacement for Dr. Westbourne.

Since Cullum has yet to disclose his choice, it opens the floor for speculation. Not just anyone can take Britt’s place, so who will Cullum ultimately decide on?

Might Cullum Have Liesl In Mind?

Could Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) be the individual Cullum is considering as Britt’s substitute? It wouldn’t be overly challenging for Britt’s mother to get up to speed, particularly given Obrecht’s past with Faison and the extensive scientific expertise she possesses.

Liesl would be exceptionally suited to take charge of the project’s final phase; Naturally, there’s no chance Obrecht would agree to this willingly, but that’s not a concern for Cullum and Sidwell.

Britt wasn’t participating of her own accord either, so Sidwell and Cullum are accustomed to using threats to achieve their objectives.

Liesl might find herself worrying for the safety of her loved ones, depending on the threats posed by Cullum and Sidwell.

Sidwell And Cullum May Corner Obrecht

Their aim could be to corner Obrecht, leaving her with no option but to continue where Britt left off; GH spoilers indicate that Liesl is in for a shocking surprise on Friday, June 5, suggesting she might be ambushed and kidnapped.

It’s easy to envision Obrecht being compelled to go to Wyndemere for a discussion about a new position. Liesl will also issue a warning in Friday’s episode, but it may not hold much weight if Sidwell and Cullum’s threats are more severe.

Additionally, it’s possible that “Nathan West,” also known as Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), will be assigned to help keep Obrecht in check.

Regardless of whether Liesl uncovers the truth about Cassius, she’s unlikely to be happy if she’s forced into such a precarious situation-Cullum and Sidwell could find themselves in danger!
