Clearly, we are talking about Maxie Jones, who was last portrayed by actress Kirsten Storms.

While Kirsten herself has made it clear that she’s not returning to the soap anytime soon, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder if her role is going to be recast with another actress in her place.

For those who have been keeping up, TMZ reported back in April that Kirsten’s ex-husband, Days of Our Lives alum Brandon Barash was forced to file a restraining order on Kirsten to protect his family.

The ex-couple up until that point had shared custody of their daughter, Harper, but according to court records, Kirsten had asked Brandon to take care of the young girl while she was sorting out her personal issues.

Not only that, but many fans have noticed that it’s been a long time since they’ve seen Maxie on the small screen ever since she came out of her coma. This has prompted a lot of people to wonder: what happened to her and is she going to get a storyline of her own anytime soon?

What’s Next For Kirsten Storms?

And because of this, many believe that Kirsten might be taking a break from General Hospital and that daytime television actress Molly Burnett might soon replace her.

But here’s the thing: Kirsten is so loved by the daytime television community that it’s almost impossible for fans to accept anyone else in the role as Maxie Jones except for her. Should Molly take on the role, there’s no doubt that many viewers would tune out in protest.

Now, whether or not Maxie Jones does come back in the near future remains to be seen, but so far the producers of the soap have not made any comments about the matter.
