General Hospital is bringing back Serena Baldwin this summer, but if you weren’t watching the ABC soap in the 90’s then you probably have no idea who Serena Baldwin is.
According to the official press release from TPTB, soap alum Kelly Kruger will be taking on the legacy character and will make her Port Charles debut in July 2026. Keep reading for all of the details!
Scott Baldwin’s Daughter Finally Returns
Serena Baldwin is the daughter of fan fave Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and his late wife Dominique Stanton. However, technically Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) gave birth to Serena and served as a surrogate.
Serena was born on General Hospital in 1993, however she spent more time on the soap’s spin-off Port Charles (from 97-03). Serena Baldwin (Carly Schroeder) made a brief return to GH in 2017.
The character was on hand for three episodes when she returned to Port Charles to attend her grandfather Lee Baldwin’s funeral. Scott’s daughter left as quickly as she came and hasn’t been seen or heard of since.
What’s Next For Serena
Carly Schroeder’s character was really just a child when she was on the soap, she doesn’t have any exes or former love interests to reconnect with.
The last time we saw Serena Baldwin, her father had left her in Paris to protect her from the Zacchara Family.
Scott’s daughter was kidnapped at one point by the mob, and they were constantly circling her because of her inheritance.
So far there’s no news on what brings Serena back to town after all of these years, but it will be interesting to see her reconnect with Scott and Lucy.
Recast Kelly Kruger has reportedly signed a contract with he soap and won’t be going any where any time soon. Are you looking forward to Serena Baldwin’s return?
