Who Is Playing Ethan Lovett On General Hospital

Today’s General Hospital episode kicked off with a voiceover, “The role of Ethan Lovett is now being played by Christian Howard.”  Then the soap dove right in to scenes as if nothing had happened.

There were actually reports months ago when Nathan Dean returned to General Hospital that it wouldn’t be permanent and he was only back for one storyline.

Viewers thought that the character would lead town when his contract was up.  Instead it appears that TPTB opted to keep Ethan around and recast the role.

This is Christian Howard’s daytime soap opera debut.  But, he has a lengthy list of credits on his resume and worked for years as a stuntman and double in action films.  Howard also has writing a producer credits.

The British actor is most well-known for his role as Ken Masters on the TV series Street Fighter: Assassin and Street Fighter: Resurrection.

Recently, the new GH cast member appeared on made for TV movies The Royal Bakeoff, When Love Walks Away, and A Lifeguard’s Obsession.

It’s unclear how long the new Ethan Lovett recast will be on the soap opera.  It could be for the foreseeable future, or General Hospital might have just ran out of time with Nathan Dean and hired Christian Howard to finish out his storyline this summer.
