General Hospital News: Has This Actor Checked Out?

General Hospital news says that when it comes to Maurice Benard, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder if the actor has “checked out” from Port Charles.

That’s because there seems to be several clues suggesting he might have one foot out the door. Keep reading below for all the details you need to know!

Has This Actor Checked Out?

The actor, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos on the hit ABC soap, spends more of this time promoting his State of Mind YouTube show than he does the show he’s been on for the last four decades.

This has prompted a lot of people to wonder if Maurice is trying to get out of his contract as all he seems to talk about is mental health awareness on his social media channels.

The actor has been hosting the YouTube series for more than five years now, yet it seems like there is less and less interest surrounding it.

Not only that, but if Maurice was secretly hoping for State of Mind to become syndicated, unfortunately that hasn’t happened either. That’s not because Maurice isn’t good enough.

Instead, it seems like no one is simply that interested to give the actor a primetime slot on one of the major television networks.

If that weren’t enough, while there’s no doubt that Maurice is one of the best daytime television stars that the soap world has ever seen, it seems like he is relying more and more on someone or maybe even something to help him deliver his lines.

What’s Next For Maurice Benard?

And while no one knows if this is true or not, there’s no doubt that viewers certainly do have their opinions about what might really be going on behind the scenes and let’s just say that many are worried.

Not only that, but he also seemed to be confusing fans over his retirement plans, too. No one knows if he wants to stay or if he wants to go. That’s because he keeps sending his fans different messages about the matter online.
