Expert Tears Into Prince Harry’s Motive In Asking King Charles To 2027 Invictus Games

Royal experts are falling over themselves trying to make sense of the reason Prince Harry would not only choose to invite his estranged dad King Charles to Invictus Games, but also proceed to give him a very important role during the event.

Some say it’s for the sake of peace and love, others are convinced that some nefarious plans are at work.

Prince Harry Wants To Move Peace Talks With King Charles Forward With Latest Olive Branch

It’s been speculated that even though Harry paid his father a visit in September last year, talks did not go so well.

So, unwilling to give up on his plans to reunite with his family, Harry has opted to try a different means. He’s actually invited his father to the 2027 Invictus Games taking place in Birmingham, UK.

The Games is said to be the highlight of Harry’s royal year, and with the 2027 iteration coming back to the UK after a decade, it’s the perfect opportunity to step out with his father.

“I’ve worked with the King for many years and he’s a very decent man, very caring… It may happen, it’s up to His Majesty,” royal photographer Arthur Edwards said.

“This is Harry trying to make peace and seek some sort of forgiveness, whether or not it will happen like that… the last meeting they had, nothing’s come out of that. Nobody knows what was said. But something could happen… anything is possible.”

Speaking of “anything is possible,” Samara Gill believes Harry invited dear old dad over for some PR goodness.

Well, it’s anyone’s guess how much Harry’s reputation in the UK has been damaged since he left, but if polls are to be believed, Harry’s rep in his home nation is dripping to the floor.

Well then, if he hopes to gather public support for a successful Invictus Games, odds are he needs to draw on his royal connections.

Considering this, Gill said: “You know, I feel like that is what Invictus Games was. But now I feel like it’s just a PR stunt for the Sussex squad and the Sussexes.”

“I do think that what it is, is them showing ‘this is what we are. This is brand Sussex.’ I think that’s half the reason that he’s trying to find a photo op to try and rehab their brand,” she explained, adding, “I just wish that it was more about those wounded soldiers.”

A source said to be close to Harry believes both theories are correct: “Harry wants it to happen both for the Games, and for their relationship. It’s his dream to have his father by his side.”
