It’s starting to become clear that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar won’t be winning any parenting awards, despite trying to present the epitome of family bliss through their TLC reality TV show ’19 Kids and Counting.’
Maybe cousin Anna Duggar was onto something when she claimed that the Duggar boys were raised with a sexual predatory mindset. Now, an earlier footage has shown us that Jim Bob and Michelle still left the kids unsupervised, even after Josh Duggar’s scandal was brought to their attention.
Fan Exposes Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s Dark Past In Unearthed Episode
For years, fans have received exclusive insights into the Duggars’ lives through their various reality TV shows, including earlier specials like ’14 Children and Pregnant Again!’ and ‘On the Road with 16 Children.’
Now, looking back in time, after all we’ve learned about the family in recent years – re Josh Duggar’s scandal – fans are starting to see clearly all that they may have previously taken for granted.
Like the episode where Josh was left alone with his younger siblings, some of whom were girls.
While this looked harmless at the time, it’s since taken a darker tone after we learned that it was also around this time that Josh molested five girls, four of whom were sisters Jinger, Jessa, Jill, and Joy-Anna.
Sharing the episode on Reddit, a fan shared, “This is AFTER Josh had his head shaved for his ‘sins,’ so we know he has already ‘confessed’ and probably already had the talk from their police officer friend. But if Jill, Jana, Grandma and Grandpa are at the hospital, then who is home with the girls? The next oldest girl would have been Jessa and she was like 11 at that time. I know John David was there, but what I’m getting at is they left Josh home (unsupervised) with the younger girls.”
A commenter boldly chimed in, writing, “They didn’t care about their kids. They didn’t care about Josh abusing his sisters. They let it happen.”
What Jinger Duggar Has Said About the Josh Duggar Scandal
Whilst the world was reeling from the revelation of Josh’s crimes, the victims of it were not doing so well with the scrutiny.
“Intimate details about our lives were splashed across a magazine page and all over the Internet for anyone and everyone to read. I felt shell-shocked, as if a bomb had exploded,” Jinger Duggar told US Weekly at the time.
“Walking through that season, it was one of the hardest times of our lives. … Our family was way closer because of that, and in spite of that, I guess you’d say,” Jinger added. “I will never forget how I felt in that moment. And I think even everything that happens in our lives — because we’re in the public eye — it makes it more challenging because then it’s not just dealing with these things inwardly, but you have to give an answer to the world. That makes it a much tougher thing to walk through.”
