DOOL Spoilers: Is Sophia The New Jan Spears, Or The New Salem Stalker?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates pose a very good question-is cray-cray Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) the new Jan Spears, (Heather Lindell) or the new Salem Stalker?

Although Sophia hasn’t killed anyone yet, right now she’s Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) “assassin in training” and after the first time, anything gets easier!

There Are Parallels Between Jan Spears And Sophia Choi

Longtime Days fans will recognize the parallels between Jan and Sophia; while in Bayview, Jan roped much younger Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) into her crazy schemes.

Sophia, while in Bayview, roped even younger Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote) into her crazy schemes-and both were obsessed with male relatives of the younger girls.

Jan was obsessed with Claire’s father, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) for years, and Sophia is just as obsessed with Tate Black (Leo Howard)!

Between the two, Claire was probably damaged more by Jan than Rachel is by Sophia, at least so far-but Jan and Sophia are about equal when it comes to crazy!

Jan passed off a baby as Shawn’s just like Sophia passed her pregnancy off as Tate being the father, too!

Sophia’s Got The Potential To Be The New Salem Stalker

Sophia certainly has the potential to be the new Salem Stalker as well-the original one was revealed to be a brainwashed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

But in the Salem Stalker case, the victims didn’t really die-instead, Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) who drugged the victims and imprisoned them on the island of Melaswen.

However, half the population of Salem was “killed” so the Salem Stalker could definitely be considered a serial killer, and we’re talking numbers of victims here, not whether they really died or not.

But with Sophia-it’s very easy to imagine her flying into insane rages and taking peoples’ lives! It’s also easy to imagine her taking out her romantic rivals, although she hasn’t done that-yet!

A Murder Mystery Will Soon Consume Salem

A murder mystery will soon consume Salem, with a scandalous case taking the city by storm-will it be Sophia who goes on a murderous rage, driven by jealousy?

Or will she merely manipulate minions as she’s done so far, and channel Jan instead of an insane serial killer?

For right now, it’s a wait and see situation, whether the murder mystery will be a killing spree, or only one person loses their life.

But if this murder arc involves a crazed killer, then Sophia could certainly play the part. If eyes are the windows to the soul, just one look at hers tells the tale!
